With a broad background in accounting, estate law and federal tax law, Dennis J. Jacknewitz is a trusted attorney in estate planning as well as wealth transfer planning. Mr. Jacknewitz began his career with a national accounting firm, handling audit and tax matters for high net worth individuals and corporations of substance. He then served as an estate and gift tax attorney for the Internal Revenue Service before going into private practice. Because of Mr. Jacknewitz’s experience with the IRS and contact with community foundations, Mr. Jacknewitz has an extensive understanding of the system that greatly benefits his clients with their estate planning and wealth management matters. Along with serving on several legal and community boards, Mr. Jacknewitz has authored several articles in American Bar Association publications and the Illinois Bar Association Elder Law and Trust committee newsletters.
